Like most people, A long quarantine can affect own's well being. A lot of people cope with different kind of entertainment including music, films, and even video game. Nature can have a calming effect for the mind and watching various show on traveling and nature documentary inspires me to recreate the feeling of outside, something that becomes a luxury during difficult times. "Virtually out there" explore the possibility of an alternate form of art using game engine to immerse the audience with the feeling outside their home, out in the nature. The environment created for this art is intentionally a mix from various region and not a specific part of the world to let the audience fill their own narrative of the virtual world. Three different areas can have a different story entirely and it is up for the audience to interpret them as they like, filling the gap between senses to be lost in the virtual world. The process of making this environment art involve several software and techniques that includes Unreal Engine as the foundation where I created most of the landscape such as hill, lake, river and woods. Other software involves in creating the world such as Megascan, Blender, Krita ,and photogrammetry techniques are used to populate the world. Lastly Shotcut is used to compile the work into a video format. You can also try the environment by downloading the file for Windows 64bit (4.2Gb) here: (https://bit.ly/3fhb2yX)
