Built in the late 19th century, Carpenter Street is one of the oldest streets in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. The street was formerly known as "Attap Street" (亚答街) because shophouses there were once covered by attap dwellings. There were also carpenters working in their workshops here, thus giving the street its name. Besides, this street is part of the present-day Chinatown in Kuching. This project is a short motion graphics film about my yearning for my Ah-Ma (grandmother), and the childhood memories she spent together with me on Carpenter Street. My Ah-Ma is the first generation within our family who migrated from China to Malaysia.
